AECOM Technology, a participant of the TrackStar Alliance, has recently won a contract worth US$15-million to construct a transit rail infrastructure facility in Queensland, Australia.
The construction, which is to be completed in Richlands-to-Springfield segment, is a part of the Darra-to-Springfield Rail program located west of Brisbane. The total project construction valued around US$488 million includes building six miles of two way tracks and constructing two stations at Springfield Lakes and Springfield and providing park-and-ride facilities for 100 to 200 vehicles.
AECOM will be engaged to offer civil and structural infrastructure designs for road and rail constructions part of the project, which includes designs for the needed alignments, construction of pavements, drainage, bridges, utilities, station buildings and the building of related urban and other landscapes.
The total project performed for Queensland Rail also includes a dedicated cycle and pedestrian way connecting Richlands and Springfield and building of city-bound road on the Centenary Highway.
