Construction Underway in New Community Development in Baltimore City

The new community being developed in Baltimore City will incorporate exclusive eco-friendly elements and will remain close to mass transit facilities.

The Uplands Redevelopment planned over a previous garden apartment-townhouse location in West Baltimore, MD, will comprise a range of 761 housing units. The project that is coming over 63-acres of land is one among the urban infill projects on the East Coast that is presently undergoing construction.

STV in addition to preparing the needed infrastructure for the site also was involved in the eligibility procedures, getting the master plan approval for the project by using the architects provided preliminary master plan. As an element of the current infrastructure construction, the company has designed the first ever green alleys in Baltimore City. The green alleys though present the look of a normal concrete alley will feature porous paving that permits permeation of storm water into the ground to improve the quality of ground water and to cut down the flooding while improving the groundwater recharge. The company also has provided the needed designs for installing roads, street lighting, utility facilities and landscaped gardening.
