American Hardwood Floors, company supplying furniture, molding, cabinets and flooring has clarified that it uses hardwoods from sustainable resources. The confusion caused by various green product labels has prompted the company to issue such a clarification.
The company has clarified that unlike softwood forests, hardwood forests renew themselves and do not require replanting. For the purpose of harvesting hardwoods a single-tree selection is preferred that is ready to be harvested by using the services of a professional forester. The dependable forest management methods followed by the company has enabled the hardwood forests to grow double in volume since 1950 thus preserving water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat and other recreational facilities.
The advanced technology used by the company also ascertains that only a minimum quantity of wood is wasted in the production process. It also uses every part of the tree such as trimmings to manufacture paper, sawdust to use as fuel in boilers or to operate dry kilns or use as animal bedding.
