Sterling Construction declared that Texas Sterling Construction, its subsidiary company based at Texas, has won a highway project contract as the lowest bidder. The contract valued around $23.7 million is for the Texas Department of Transportation located in Collin County, Texas.
The extent of the project includes excavation of around 100,000 cubic yards, of concrete pavement for around 200 square yards and construction of 31,000 linear feet of storm drains. It will also include reconstruction of the El Dorado Parkway measuring 4.05 mi from SH 289 to FM 2478. The project is anticipated to commence in September 2010 and will get completed in 26 months.
Sterling is a civil construction company engaged in the construction and rebuilding of the water infrastructure and transportation in states such as Nevada, Utah, Texas and other places. The company undertakes water infrastructure projects such as waste water storm drainage systems and water facilities and in transportation infrastructure it is engaged in the construction of light rail, bridges, roads and highways.
