Stillwater Dwellings, a prefabricated home builder and designer, has introduced a new home design in its list of home offerings.
The home, designed to occupy an area of 1,000 square foot, will have one bedroom, a bathroom and an eminent butterfly roofline. The sd111 construction model is considered to be an ideal solution for constructing at remote building location and meets the requirement of low-cost construction process that does not need much supervision. The prefabricated homes are located close to the Capitol Reef National Park in southern Utah.
The sd111 is offered with a pre-designed floor plan, which is modified for homeowners. Modifications can be made to the size of windows and their locations to improve views. Minimum changes are also made to the bathroom layout. Home owners can accommodate a large laundry/mechanical closet and customize important finishes and colors to match their personal needs. Thus the company, while maintaining the design ideas, continues to accommodate the changing needs of home buyers.
The prefabricated homes are constructed over a 14-acre land area, which includes moss-covered dirt, grasses, and native plants. The company preferred modular offsite construction to prevent damage to the ecology. The prefabricated homes are brought from the place of fabrication and laid over the foundation.
The modular homes include a range of eco-friendly features such as low VOC paints, efficient heating and hot water solutions, pre-finished and green wood flooring, natural wool carpeting, energy-saving windows with low-e film and argon gas, countertops made of engineered quartz slab and fully insulated floors, ceilings and walls.
