The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute awards GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification to W.F. Taylor's Meta-Tec Adhesive Solutions and Envirotec Healthguard Adhesives.
Taylor is the first flooring adhesive manufacturer to subject their products to the scientifically rigorous testing of the GREENGUARD Certification Program. Both product lines met the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Standards and continue to be monitored to ensure their low emitting status. Specifiers and contractors can use the Meta-Tec and Envirotec Healthguard adhesives in conjunction with GREENGUARD Certified Floorings to created spaces with ideal indoor air conditions.
Until recently, the only choice a contractor or specifier had for flooring adhesives were products touting low- VOC content but could not be guaranteed to have minimal emissions. Many of these products release extremely high levels of chemical pollutants that can endanger the health and well-being of building occupants.
"Taylor has a long history of environmental focus with Envirotech Healthguard as the first solvent-free adhesive for flooring and Meta-Tec technology as the first environmentally-safe adhesive chemistry considered for the EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Award," commented Barry Wright, W.F. Taylor Executive Vice President. "We are proud to continue that heritage as the first flooring adhesive manufacturer to become part the of the GREENGUARD Certification Program."
Most common interior construction materials and furnishings release harmful chemicals into the indoor air. Building professional, as well as occupants, can trust that any GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified material or furnishing will not contribute irritating chemicals into interior spaces.
