Evader, an auxiliary of ASCC Construction, a building company from India, declared that it has presented its tender proposal for a road construction project in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The project with an estimate of around $ 110 million is pursued under the Phase III of the National Highways Development Program (NHDP).
The project includes independent engineering services for the construction of the NH-5 extension project, Dindigul-Theni two lane road sections with paved shoulder of NH-45 and Theni-Kumli section of NH-220 in the State of Tamilnadu. These projects come under NHDP-III, the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) type of road construction contracts, offered under the annuity basis.
The Phase III of the NHDP requires construction of four-lane roads over 10,000 km of roadways with high traffic density and these areas are not covered by the earlier phases known as the Golden Quadrilateral and the East-West North-South Corridor. The Phase-III will cover most parts of the country with around 5,498 km of roads. The project estimated to cost around 15 billion USD is designed to get completed by 2012 under the BOT-Toll method.
