In order to move with the trend and to meet the growing demand for green home constructions, Hallmark-Southwest has announced the construction of homes with Net-Zero energy efficiency option. The homes with the option will have inbuilt green energy production facilities such as solar power generation.
The company has declared that the new homes, in addition to having solar power generation facility to generate clean power, will also incorporate a range of facilities to achieve Net-Zero energy efficiency. Some of the energy efficiency facilities planned for the new homes include the company’s own ventilation systems, cooling and heating systems, solar hot water devices, tank-less water heaters and hot water on-demand. In order to increase the thermal efficiency of the buildings, they are constructed with the right type of insulation, use thermostats that can be programmed, incorporate energy efficient lighting and low-e-energy windows.
According to Luca Brammer, Hallmark-Southwest’s Director of Business Development, the company utilizes its own proprietary technology to build energy efficient homes by cutting down the energy requirement of each home without changing the life pattern of the home owners. He clarified that minimum number of solar panels are used to achieve Net-Zero energy efficiency.
