Ossen Innovation, a China-based manufacturing company engaged in the production of galvanized pre-stressed steel wires that are used in the manufacture of bridge cables, declared that it has contracted two accords to supply its galvanized pre-stressed steel wires.
The supplied wires will be utilized in the building of expressway bridges over Jiujiang Yangtze River and Maanshan Yangtze River. The company will supply the products during 2012.
The expressway bridge over Maanshan Yangtze River will incorporate an exclusive design to combine a tri-tower suspension construction with a tri-tower stayed-cable structure into a single project. The main span of the construction will be extended over 1,000 meters and will be considered to be the longest main span globally. The bridge will utilize an oval-shaped arch tower construction to become the first such bridge in China.
The Jiujiang Yangtze River Expressway is a part of an expressway project of 2485 km linking Yinchuan and Fuzhou and located in the Jiangxi Province. The stayed-cable bridge construction will incorporate a twin tower design. The bridge will utilize 216 steel cables and the main span of the bridge will measure about 818 meters long. The bridge when completed will become the 6th longest stayed-cable bridge in the world.
