The Garland, a roofing and building maintenance system provider for industrial, commercial and institutional segments, declared that it has introduced vital advancements in its R Mer Edge fascia and coping systems meant for low-slope roofing.
The new systems meet ANSI/SPRI ES-1 international building code (IBC) specifications; have been tested by an autonomous lab and certified for their resistance against wind-related failures.
The new edging systems includes a number of performance improvements to meet the Es-1 standards such as a sleek and smooth cant dam outline for R-Mer Edge fascia and enhanced shape within the leg of R-Mer Edge coping. The edging system does not include open type fasteners that normally produce leakage. Moreover, the edging is aesthetically designed and can be painted afterwards to suit any color scheme.
Garlands’ metal products manager, Tom Diamond stated that most of the time the edges are not secured properly and are often neglected and this brings ruinous results during windy conditions.
