KBR declared that Dragados Offshore has chosen it as a subcontractor for South Arne Phase 3 expansion Project. KBR will provide detailed engineering work for the offshore project located in the Danish region of the North Sea.
The EPC award received by Dragados includes construction of two topsides weighing 1,600 tons and 1,350 tons for two wellhead platforms and construction of two jackets weighing 2,600 tons each to support the platforms. Dragados will also provide detailed engineering, construction site and procurement assistance support.
KBR as subcontractor will provide complete engineering and procurement support and will also offer additional engineering aid all through the building and installation stages of the project. The company will utilize its Leatherhead offices to perform the detailed engineering work, which will be supervised by Dragados Offshore. The project is anticipated to get completed during April and May 2012 which includes a period of seven weeks for onshore commissioning of the constructed platforms in the Puerto Real yard of Dragados.
