Koontz McCombs Construction to Build Kinetic Concepts’ Global Headquarters

Koontz McCombs Construction, a commercial real estate development, building leasing and property Management Company, in association with RVK Architects has contracted a design-build accord for the construction of the global headquarters for Kinetic Concepts (KCI), a company that supplies wound care and healing systems.

The new KCI headquarters is scheduled to be ready by the summer of 2012

The proposed three-story building will have an area of 100,000 square foot and will be placed on Interstate Highway 10 immediately to the south of Hausman Road and lies few miles north of the present headquarters of KCI. The proposed offices will be placed in an area of over eight acres. The building design will include Building Information Modeling (BIM) suggested three-dimensional design method that permits the participants of the project to work together on the design and programming the construction of the building. The procedure streamlines the building process and assures the client the potential value on the project.

The building project is aiming to achieve the LEED certification from the United States Green Building Council and utilizing energy efficient design and materials for the purpose. The construction of the project has already begun to facilitate KCI to occupy the building in the summer of 2012.
