EMCOR Group, a mechanical and electrical construction and energy infrastructure providing company that supports varied type of businesses, declared that its auxiliary, Dynalectric Los Angeles has been contracted to erect electrical systems for piers D, E, and F located at the Port of Long Beach California. The installation is being completed under the Middle Harbor Redevelopment Project.
Dynalectric Los Angeles will own the responsibility for the total erection of electrical systems that has been undertaken under the first phase of the Middle Harbor Redevelopment Project. The project will be complete with the construction of the Wharfs and dredging of a berth and filling the other to assist supply of electric power to anchored container ships to use power without running their diesel engines while anchored.
Dynalectric will unearth and install 260,000 feet below the ground concrete covered passage, pre-cast pull boxes, vaults, manholes and a pre-cast tunnel vault to enable supply of electricity to the work area, cranes and ships. The company will also complete the erection of a main terminal substation and a shore-to-ship substation to arrange power supply to the anchored ships.
