Aker Solutions declared that it has received a letter of intent (LOI) from Statoil for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a below-the-sea production facility located on the Norwegian continental shelf for the Fossekall-Dompap project. The contract is valued around 1 billion NOK.
The contract requires Aker Solutions to build 11 subsea trees, three template-manifold constructions, one tie-in system and one control system. The contract also includes a number of options for the development of other fields on the Norwegian continental shelf.
Aker Solutions’ head office in Oslo, Norway will basically provide the administration, engineering and procurement services required for the subsea manufacturing facility. The company is planning to complete the manufacture of the subsea trees at its Tranby production facility in Norway. Moreover, the template-manifolds will be manufactured at its Egersund yard in Norway. The control systems required for the facilities will be manufactured at Aberdeen, UK. All the deliveries of the projects will be completed in the second quarter of 2013.
