BASF Plans to Display its Technology and Tools at ConExpo-Con-Agg 2011

BASF, a chemical company, has declared that it will display its current technology findings related to its patented concrete tools and sustainable concrete construction at the ConExpo-Con/Agg show, to be held in Las Vegas from 22 to 26 March, 2011.

At the expo, the company will also showcase product and technology innovations meant for residential, commercial and infrastructure segments.

The company in addition to displaying its concrete improvement technologies will also showcase four of its newly developed patented electronic tools that are designed to benefit architects, concrete manufacturers, building owners and engineers and to make them understand the advantages of utilizing concrete in their projects. The first two tools include the Integrated Durability-Sustainability Wizard, which assists engineers and architects in choosing the proper admixture product and technologies, Eco-Efficiency Analysis (EEA) Program for assessing the ecological life cycle of the concrete mix to quantify the ecological and economic advantages. Other two tools include the Macro-Polymetric Fiber Dosage Wizard for calculating the usage of macrosynthetic fibers in place of small diameter bars or welded-wire reinforcement and Surface Evaporation Calculator for assessing the level of the surface evaporation that creates plastic shrinkage cracking.

BASF supplied fiber technology and admixture chemistry helps in the production of cheaper concrete that improves the performance features, enhances the aesthetics of a building, steps-up its structural durability, stretches the usage life of the building and cuts down the total ecological impact.
