EnCon Utah Granted Tooele County Correctional Facility Project

EnCon Utah, a Tooele, Utah-based provider of precast/prestressed structural and architectural products, declared that Sahara, a Bountiful, Utah-based construction services providing company, has granted it, the Tooele County Correctional Facility project.

EnCon Utah, an auxiliary of EnCon Companies, will remain a constituent of the design build team and maintain delivery procedures for the project. The procedure needs harmonization of BIM efforts among EnCon Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah-based GSBS Architects and DUNN and Associates Engineers, and Denver, Colorado located EnCon Design. EnCon Utah being a constituent of the design team will partake in the budget discussions and will work directly with the design build team to manage the expenditure of the project and its progress during the delivery process of the project.

The project, which utilizes a three-dimensional overlay solution to manage the project geometry and construction sequencing, will constitute 273 pre-set concrete pieces and wall panels measuring a total of 57,000 square feet. For the first time in Utah the project will include Solid Precast Wall panels for the interior and CarbonCast Insulated Thermal Efficient Loadbearing Structural Shear Wall panels for the exterior. EnCon Utah will also supply an R-19 steady state panel without thermal bridges.
