Florock has announced the release of FloroProof, a new flooring system under its Florock Industrial Flooring line, to resolve the expensive flooring problem in the industries.
The FloroProof when utilized as a basecoat over the concrete slabs forbids the Moisture Vapor Transmission (MVT) from becoming detrimental to the ensuing floor coatings.
It is often observed that the conditions of the site and the constitution of concrete mix utilized to make the concrete slab creates high moisture levels unwantedly. During such occasions the MVT inclines to move upward through the concrete slab by means of a capillary action ultimately contracting into high pH liquid that develops thus ruining the capability of the industrial flooring to adhere to the substrate.
According to Tom Lux, Technical Representative from Florock the testing of the slab moisture regularly or waiting for the concrete to settle down fully before making the basecoat will not solve the problem. He explained that some of the slabs will take months to get cured and some will never get cured and it will make the problem all the more complicated with current tight schedules observed in the construction of buildings.
The New FloroProof presented by Florock when erected correctly promises appropriate adhesion and functioning of concrete coatings irrespective of the existence of MVT.
