Lusio Solid-State Lighting Illuminates Qatar National Convention Center Extension with LED Light fittings

Lusio Solid-State Lighting, a segment of LightWild, declared that it has received an order to deliver 4,750 high bay LED light fittings to the Qatar National Convention Center extension located in Doha, Qatar.

The new extension will add around 850, 000 square feet area to the existing convention center and is anticipated to be opened at the end of this year.

The Lusio Solid-State Lighting products were chosen for the project by Burns & McDonnell, the main architectural and engineering company of the project and Yarnell & Associates and LightWorks, the lighting designers for the building project. The project requires lighting products that are to be mounted over a 40 ft structure to endure the high level temperatures ranging from 115°F to 131°F and produce a minimum of 50 foot candle luminance with a 40° cutoff, meeting the set energy usage limits of the center.

The lighting products of Lusio meets the requirements of both the commercial and industrial users and offers ultra clear lighting that surpasses the traditional halide or fluorescent lighting sources. The mercury free lightings require low level maintenance and can be dimmed. The lighting products come with a 7 year warranty and offer 35 to 70% savings on energy.
