Universal Steel Buildings Corp. has announced the supply and construction of two large Olympia Steel Buildings® pre-engineered metal buildings systems for Ark-La-Tex Services, an oil field services company out of Carthage, Texas.
Ark-La-Tex Services has provided oil field services to the oil industry in the quad-state area since 1997, providing septic systems, water tanks, dumpsters, trash trailers, portable toilets, holding tanks and potable water. After fourteen years in the business, owner, Rodney Wooten and his wife Margaret decided it was time for the company to grow. They had ambitious plans for positioning the company as a leading player in the region. Integral to their plans was the construction of modern new facilities that would not only be a perfect fit for the current company size, but they wanted construction that could easily expand to accommodate the projected future growth and recognized that pre-engineered steel buildings could provide the flexibility their plans demanded. After researching other building companies, including those local to their area, Ark-La-Tex Services contracted with Universal Steel Buildings Corp. out of Pennsylvania for supply and construction of new facilities.

The new construction consists of two buildings, one 32,000 sf pre-engineered steel building to be used as a warehouse, and the other a 9,000 sf pre-engineered steel building to house office facilities for Ark-La-Tex Services. Construction of the new facilities is slated to begin in May 2011. Universal Steel Buildings Corp. will supply and erect the pre-engineered Olympia Steel Buildings, install the windows, doors and insulation.
“I’m really glad that Rodney (Mr. Wooten) chose us over a local Texas company,” stated Erika Stanford, the Universal Steel Buildings Corp. building estimator who worked with the Wooten’s every step of the way to get them the facilities they needed. “I know that once he gets these buildings, he will really love the quality. I know that anyone who sees the buildings is going to want an Olympia Steel Buildings pre-engineered metal building. I know that. Rodney and his wife Margaret are really good people and it was very enjoyable working with them. I am happy that they went with Olympia.”
Universal Steel Buildings Corp. is actively reaching out to other oil services companies servicing Marcellus Shale gas exploration and extraction in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York State, with their Olympia Steel Buildings pre-engineered metal building construction as a cost-effective building solution for companies needing to build new facilities quickly to meet rapid industry growth.
