GENIVAR Buys Quebec-Based Specialist in Architectural Acoustics

GENIVAR Inc. ("GENIVAR") (TSX: GNV) is pleased to announce that it has acquired Decibel Consultants Inc. ("Decibel"), an engineering consulting firm based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec and specializing in architectural acoustics and industrial/environmental noise measurement and control. This acquisition adds 13 employees to GENIVAR's workforce.

"We are very pleased to add a specialization in acoustics to our range of expertise," said François Perreault, GENIVAR's Vice President, Western Quebec. "Noise and vibration are important factors in the projects we undertake, whether in the architectural field, at industrial sites, on highway projects or in our urban environment," he added.

"GENIVAR is the ideal partner for us during the next stage of our growth. In our view, the company's professional expertise and vast network are key assets that will enable us to develop nation-wide," said Gilles Leroux, Decibel's President and CEO.
