EcoBlu Products, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ECOB) announced today that the company has signed a product Application Services Agreement with Mid-State Properties of Central Florida, LLC. located in Lakeland, Florida.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Mid-State Companies will treat EcoBlu Products lumber, build EcoBlu's humanitarian house packages and manage lumber inventory for wholesale distribution to the Southeast region allowing EcoBlu to rapidly expand market share. The Lakeland facility, dormant for the past few years, is situated on 18 acres with turnkey resources to produce treated lumber products, trusses and pre-fab houses. Additionally, the agreement provides life to Mid-State Truss Company, Inc. by creating jobs and products for the local and international markets.
A successful roll out of our Patent Pending WoodSurfaceFilm™ treatment requires the product availability in strategic locations around the country. This facility in Central Florida is strategically located providing the company the ability to inventory treated lumber and pre-fab buildings in the Southeastern markets for export to Caribbean Islands such as Haiti, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico as well as African countries. The Companies goal is to make EcoBuilding Products "Good Wood™" brand readily available for Big Box and Retail Lumber Companies by providing access to buy full units of all our treated products.
"After meeting with Mike Reed, President of Mid-State Properties and Mid-State Truss Company, I realized this facility was ready to produce treated lumber and houses to support our YouthBuild program; a perfect complement to my plan going offshore for housing starts while the US Home Builders slowly recover," said Steve Conboy, President and CEO of EcoBlu Products. "EcoBlu protected lumber along with Eco Shelters is a perfect way for us to do our part helping the US economy while helping these kids get another shot at life," added Conboy.
"As a founding principal in Wood Smart Solutions, Inc. and as the patent holder of coating technology on roof trusses, I was the first to recognize the importance of topically treating roof trusses for the prevention of mold. We are very pleased to be joining forces with EcoBuilding Products™. Good Wood™ by Eco is the newest technology in wood protection. Eco has a revolutionary chemistry that insures the highest form of coating protection; preventing mold and termites with the added benefit of fire resistance while maintaining a real quality control program to insure their process is consistent from factory to factory. There is nothing like it!" according to Mike Reed, President and CEO of Mid-State Truss. "A house is not a home without Good Wood™. We look forward to advancing the cause of Good Wood™ to homebuilder's worldwide," added Reed.
