Huber Engineered Woods LLC, leading manufacturer of innovative building solutions, provides builders the premier subflooring with its AdvanTech® flooring, a high performance engineered product that offers greater moisture resistance, strength and sustainability than OSB (oriented strand board) and plywood.
Huber Engineered Woods will be presenting the advanced benefits of AdvanTech® flooring with interactive demonstrations at the 2011 International Builders’ Show in booth W3121 at the Orange County Convention Center on Wednesday, Jan. 12 through Saturday, Jan. 15.
AdvanTech® flooring and sheathing panels are known for superior moisture resistance and strength, as well as award-winning quality. This is made possible through the combination of advanced resin technology, innovative engineering and world class manufacturing processes. To prove and validate superior performance, AdvanTech® panels are manufactured to meet the higher structural performance standards set forth in ESR-1785 (ICC-ES® Evaluation Service Report), in addition to the normal PS2-04 performance standard that all OSB and plywood panels must meet. In addition to ESR-1785, AdvanTech flooring and sheathing panels are backed by an industry-leading 50-year transferable warranty and a 300-day no-sanding guarantee, giving builders peace of mind that AdvanTech panels will install flat, resist moisture and stay strong every time.
“As the only subflooring with an ESR certification, AdvanTech flooring offers builders one of the strongest, most durable and moisture resistant products on the market,” stated Scott Long, AdvanTech product manager. “Builders rely on the high performance of AdvanTech flooring to protect their reputation and provide homeowners with long-lasting, quiet floors they can enjoy for years to come.”
The AdvanTech® brand now features panel graphics including the ESR-1785 certification on the front of the panel, a Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) logo to showcase its environmental commitment, and a fastening guide with bi-lingual instructions to improve installation speed and accuracy. AdvanTech flooring is available in 19/32-inch, 23/32-inch, 7/8-inch, 1-inch and 1 1/8-inch thicknesses and AdvanTech roof and wall sheathing is available in 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch thicknesses. AdvanTech flooring and sheathing products are backed by the Huber Engineered Woods 50-year fully-transferrable warranty.
The structural design values and superior performance of AdvanTech panels can be reviewed in the ICC-ES Evaluation Service Report (ESR-1785). This code recognition report is published by the International Code Council Evaluation Service and affirms AdvanTech flooring as the strongest and stiffest panels available when compared to commodity offerings.
In addition, the performance standards and benefits of AdvanTech flooring and sheathing can be reviewed in the recently issued Verification of Attributes Report™ (VAR-1012) through the ICC-ES Sustainable Attributes Verification and Evaluation (SAVE™) Program. This independent, third-party certification provides a technical evaluation on how AdvanTech flooring and sheathing meet code requirements and qualify for points under many prominent green rating systems and building standards.
All of Huber’s mills are certified by the SFI, promoting sustainable forestry practices through procurement programs and research initiatives, as well as logger and landowner outreach. In addition, each Huber plant employs state-of-the-art environmental control equipment and maintains strict control standards to ensure that the manufacturing of Huber products has a minimal impact on the environment. These factors helped Huber Engineered Woods earn the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) Research Center Green Approved mark in 2009, which verifies that AdvanTech panels are eligible to contribute points toward the certification of a building under the NAHB National Green Building Standard™.
