Greater Valley Group (GVG), based in West Point, Ga., and EH Systems, LLC based in New Braunfels, Texas, announced a partnership to begin construction on two Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) homes in Lanett, Ala. on Nov. 15.
These energy-efficient homes will be featured at Quail Run, a new master-planned community with extensive amenities, and at Riverside Estates, a new golf course community featuring a friendly but challenging 18-hole course. GVG is a premier regional developer and EH Systems is one of the country’s leading SIPs manufacturers.
A SIP is a product that fuses a foam core, like expanded polystyrene, between two outer skins of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) to create a super-strong construction panel. They can be used to construct exterior walls, roofs, ceilings and floors. Homes and buildings constructed from SIPs offer superior insulation qualities, exceptional strength, fast installation and a host of benefits to the environment.
Southern Place Homes, the building arm of GVG, will build the Hampton floor plan at Quail Run. The 3,037 square foot two-story plan includes four bedrooms, three full baths and a finished bonus room.
The Kendrick Model will be the featured SIP home at Riverside Estates. The 2,929 square foot home includes four bedrooms, including a main-level master suite, three-and-a-half baths, and a finished bonus room.
“SIP buildings are estimated to be 66 percent more energy efficient than standard frame construction,” said Tim Randolph, CEO of Southern Place Homes. “They are also two-and-a-half times stronger than standard building materials. Homebuyers will love their lower energy bills. Because less energy will be needed to heat and cool a SIP home, energy bills are usually 15 to 40 percent lower than a typically framed home.”
Quail Run, just minutes from Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) is approximately five miles north of downtown West Point, Ga., on West Fredonia Road. The West Point Lake homes feature an extensive array of community amenities, including a pool, pavilion, multi-purpose sports field, tennis courts and a fishing lake. All residents receive their choice of a one-year membership to Riverside Country Club or Twisted Pine Hunting Preserve. Homes are affordably priced from the $180,000s.
The community features three and four bedroom single-family design plans ranging in size from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet. Each home sits on approximately one third acre. Standard features include hardwood floors, granite countertops, Whirlpool appliances, crown molding, large front porches and carriage style garage doors.
Riverside Estates is approximately four miles west of downtown West Point, Ga., off of Country Club Drive in Lanett, Ala., and only 10 minutes from KMMG. All residents receive a one-year membership to Riverside Country Club at closing.
Homes in this community offer luxury features and amenities with flexible floor plans suitable for retirees, families or young professionals. With large, wooded lots and 101 of the 141 lots on the golf course, homeowners are guaranteed a prime view and privacy. Priced from the mid $200,000s, homeowners have a choice of 18 pre-approved home plans. Custom designs are welcome, but must be approved by the architectural review board.
Children living in Quail Run and Riverside Estates attend Chambers County schools including: Huguley Elementary, W.F. Burns Junior High and Valley High schools.
