Elmer's Products Inc., an industry leader in adhesives, arts and crafts, office and educational products, today announced it is revamping its hardware line with the addition of Carpenter's Wood Glue MAX and Glue-All MAX. The new "MAX" versions extend the company's popular Carpenter's Wood Glue and Glue-All lines, while reducing confusion in the aisle.
"While most companies are expanding their lines, we've chosen to enhance the strength and performance of two of our most well-known brands: Carpenter's Wood Glue and Glue-All. The new, stronger Carpenter's Wood Glue MAX and Glue-All MAX formulas will help reduce confusion at the shelf by providing all-in-one formulas," said Joe Wetli, director of new business development for Elmer's Products. "Our goal is to make life easier for consumers by providing innovative and reliable products and to make the question of 'which glue' for any project as simple as possible."
Carpenter's Wood Glue
Consumers will continue to find Carpenter's Wood Glue, one of the industry's most recognizable wood glues, on the shelves, but in a new ergonomic, easy-to-use bottle with a spreader cap. Carpenter's Wood Glue is sandable, paintable and designed for interior projects.
This month, consumers will find the new Carpenter's Wood Glue MAX in stores. Containing real wood fibers, the "MAX" version is the only waterproof and stainable formulation on the shelves. The glue is also easy to sand and paint, and resists heat, mold and mildew, making it ideal for wood workers, hobbyists and DIYers tackling indoor and outdoor products.
Both formulas provide a bond that is stronger than the wood, meaning the wood will break before the bond does yet they remain non-toxic and easy to clean up with water.
Glue-All
The new Glue-All MAX joins the recently reformulated, stronger Glue-All. Glue-All MAX replaces Elmer's Ultimate Glue formula and serves as the company's only polyurethane glue. The addition of Glue-All MAX extends the multipurpose traits of Glue-All into the garage and outdoors. The new "MAX" version provides a stronger bond and is weather proof, sandable and paintable. It can bond a variety of substrates, like metal, wood, plastic and stone. Elmer's unique Glue-All MAX formula provides a more consistent experience with less mess. People looking for a longer lasting, stronger bond should consider the new Glue-All MAX, while Glue-All remains the top choice for interior projects and for bonding porous and semi-porous surfaces like wood, pottery, paper and cloth.
Trusted in the hardware aisle for more than 50 years, Elmer's offers a variety of sealants, compounds and adhesives to help DIYers, professionals and amateurs tackle a variety of projects around the home, in the garage and at work. The new Carpenter's Wood Glue MAX and Glue-All MAX formulas join Elmer's hardworking lines of wood fillers and repair kits, spackle, grout and spray adhesives and specialty hobby, repair and epoxy items.
