Knowlagent the leading provider in call center talent management software solutions, recently partnered with local organizations – Cbeyond, Majestic Landscapes, LLC and Underground Boring Systems, Inc. – to build a playground at MUST Ministries.
These organizations joined together to help build the playground led by Serve@Work a subgroup of High Tech Ministries.
Knowlagent initiated their community service work for MUST Ministries, a local non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the basic needs of families of Cobb and Cherokee Counties in 2008. Employees helped serve lunches on a quarterly basis at the organization’s kitchen and also organized food and clothing drives.
In subsequent years of service, the organization continued quarterly lunch services as well as food and clothing drives. Beyond that, Knowlagent increased their involvement and contributions by raising money for bus tickets, purchasing bicycles and dedicating time on October 20 – 22, 2010 to build the playground for children of homeless families living in the shelter.
“Community service is an integral part of our culture,” said Knowlagent’s President and CEO Matt McConnell, “the employees at Knowlagent feel strongly about MUST Ministries’ mission and wanted to provide a fun and safe area where the children can play – and just be kids – even though their families are temporarily experiencing challenging times in life.”
McConnell leads the Serve@Work program which provides a forum for local technology companies and individuals to serve where there is a community need. McConnell meets with the group regularly to find new ways that Knowlagent employees can work with other local organizations to serve and put the needs of the community before their own.
