Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide general tolling consultant (GTC) services for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
WSDOT is using tolling within their highway system as a tool to reduce congestion and generate revenue.
Officials did not disclose the contract value, however did note that the contract has a minimum duration of three years with the option for multi-year extensions.
As the GTC, Jacobs provides program management, project development and project delivery services related to WSDOT toll facilities, including planning, design, strategic advisory, operations support and implementation-phase work activities.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Robert M. Clement stated, "We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with WSDOT, and we look forward to working closely with them as their transportation system evolves with changing conditions."
