Ceilume, manufacturers of decorative ceiling tiles made from a specially formulated vinyl plastic, proudly announces that they have received ICC-ES recognition (ESR# 2451) from ICC Evaluation Services (ICC-ES), confirming that Ceilume tiles meet the 2006 and 2009 IBC (International Building Code) requirements.
Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others construction entities utilize the ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for specifying, approving, or installing products in construction projects following the International Building Code.

ICC-ES thoroughly examined Ceilume’s product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code compliant. Both the Feather-Light and Signature ceiling tiles, which are available in 32 decorative styles and five colors, received ICC-ES recognition. In addition to being code compliant, Ceilume’s vinyl ceiling tiles are GreenGuard certified for indoor air quality, Class “A” Fire Rated and 100% locally recyclable. Because of the lightweight, vinyl design, the tiles are also easy to install, easy to clean and cost effective ($1 - $4 per square foot), are unaffected by water or moisture and do not harbor any smells, mold or bacteria.
ICC-ES President Mark Johnson explains why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important. “Ceilume can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that the product meets I-Code requirements,” Johnson said. “Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resource for the building department.
