Jacobs to Provide Engineering Services to United Utilities

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it secured a framework contract with United Utilities, the United Kingdom's largest listed water company.

The appointment will run for the Asset Management Programme 5 (AMP5) period to 2015.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

Terms of the contract include the provision of multi-discipline engineering services to undertake the solution identification and design of new water, wastewater and sludge treatment and network facilities, or modifications to existing treatment and network facilities. United Utilities serves over 7 million people in the North West of England.

The contract builds on Jacobs' successful service delivery to United Utilities over the past three years on a range of projects, including the West-East link, the major pipeline between Liverpool and Manchester.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Bob Duff stated, "We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract, which further strengthens our existing relationship with United Utilities. We look forward to assisting United Utilities in meeting the investment needs of its customers."
