Texas-Based Modular Building Provider Bags Contract from the U.S. Army

Icon Construction wins a base improvement contract from the U.S. Army’s Contracting Command.

The 2,100 square-foot modular facility is an expansion of the U.S. Army Ceremonial Band Building. The existing building cannot accommodate the some 106 soldiers because of limited space and excessive humidity. The modular facility will provide band personnel locker storage and an area to change and prepare for performances. Icon Construction will oversee this project from inception to completion including site preparation, grading, excavation, concrete foundation, steps, decks, sidewalks and utility preparation.

Icon Construction is honored to provide the modular building, which will house the country’s most sacred instruments. The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” provides a musical backdrop for the nation’s notable events and has a worldwide reputation for extraordinary musicianship. The musicians have been trained at some of the most prestigious conservatories and universities in the country. The “Pershing’s Own” musicians play at funerals at the Arlington National Cemetery. The ensemble also performs at The White House and The Pentagon to honor to visiting Heads of States and other dignitaries.
