Hellenic Solutions Corporation (OTCBB: AEGZF) ("Hellenic" or "the Company"), a leading advisory, engineering and construction firm that specializes in the design, construction and equipping of commercial, agricultural and industrial facilities in Greece, today announced two new projects, Viocot Poultry and Zouras Poultry, totaling EUR 4.15 million.
Viocot Poultry is a vertically integrated Poultry facility which includes slaughter house and processing of by-products. The project was recently approved by the Ministry of Agriculture for a project totaling approximately EUR 2.15 million. Hellenic Solutions has been engaged to facilitate the modernization expansion of the facility including the upgrade for rendering of the Viocot Poultry facility. Rendering is a management process that converts waste animal tissue into stable, value-added and more useful materials. The second facility, Zouras Poultry, was also approved by the Ministry of Agriculture for a new project valued at approximately EUR 2 million. Zouras is a vertically integrated hatchery unit where Hellenic Solutions will install custom made egg hatching machinery. Engineering and construction of both projects are scheduled to begin during the fourth quarter of 2010 and will take approximately 8 to 10 months to complete.
Stavros Mesazos, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Chairman of Hellenic, commented, "As the leading company currently offering turnkey advisory services, construction, operational solutions and financing, we continue to see very strong demand for our expertise and services within the agricultural and renewable energy sectors. We expect to experience strong continued growth in both sectors due to several key economic initiatives including the EUR 6.3 billion allocated to the agricultural industry through the European Union Community Support Framework IV. Additionally, future growth in the renewable sector is extremely promising, driven by the Kyoto Protocol where thirty seven industrial nations are committed to the reduction of greenhouse gas and fight against global warming and have agreed to meet their standards by 2020. We have created an unmatched reputation due to our professionalism and workmanship in our sector and are proud that over 70% of all our current customers are repeat customers such as Viocot Poultry. Today, our agricultural and renewable energy backlog, pipeline and projects in process now total over EUR 305 and EUR 89 million respectively."
