Kersten Kunststoffcoating to Exhibit Alternative to Stainless Steel Pipes at IFAT ENTSORGA 2010

At IFAT ENTSORGA 2010 (an international trade fair in the fields of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management), being held in Munich from September 13 to 17, Rilsan® coated parts by Kersten Kunststoffcoating are displayed at their booth (booth 535, Hall A3).

Rilsan®-coated carbon steel is a cost-effective and technical alternative to stainless steel, it is furthermore produced with less energy and carbon dioxide emissions, reducing the plant’s environmental footprint.

Since 1967, Arkema’s Rilsan® high-performance powder coatings have been used in the water industry for coating pipes, pumps, valves and fittings. Manufactured from a renewable resource, Rilsan® polyamide is the market’s only engineering bio-plastic. Rilsan®-coated pipes overcome common pitting and corrosion problems encountered with stainless steel and withstand extreme abrasive medium. Rilsan® case studies include up to 40 years of services in sea-water-reverse-osmosis desalination plants, wastewater treatment plants and purification plants.

Alongside this fair, Arkema also gives a conference with Kersten Kunststoffcoating GmbH on Monday 13 September from 17:30 to 18:00 at Forum Hall A4. This conference will deal with “bio-based durable coating for pipes and accessories in the fluid transfer industry”.
