SNC-Lavalin is pleased to announce that Air France has awarded SNC-Lavalin in Europe a complete general contracting contract for the construction of a new reactor test bench at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) Airport. The facility will be able to accommodate the next-generation extra large Airbus A380 and Boeing B777 engines.
The SNC-Lavalin in Europe contract will apply to all related areas and facilities, such as reception and preparation workshops, service rooms for utilities, as well as offices and staff rooms. Particular attention will be given to the handling of acoustics and vibrations when in the structure design, in collaboration with architect Jean-François Schmit.
“This contract is a testimony to our experience and our outstanding technical capacities in the field of test benches,” stated Jean Claude Pingat, Executive Vice-President of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. and President of SNC-Lavalin in Europe. “It also offers an excellent example of how SNC-Lavalin creates synergies among its various fields of expertise to bring added value to its clients, in this case in building construction and industrial process integration.”
