WallFoam 183M Insulation from Gaco Passes ICC-ES Flammability Test

Gaco Western announces that its WallFoam 183M now meets the flammability test criteria for attics and crawl spaces set by the International Code Council Evaluation Services (ICC-ES). With this new approval, contractors are able to leave Gaco’s WallFoam 183M spray foam insulation exposed in unoccupied attics and crawl spaces and still meet all code and safety requirements.

“This new approval will save spray foam insulation contractors time and money,” says Tom Sojak, vice president of sales for Gaco Western’s WallFoam division. “With Gaco’s WallFoam 183M, contractors can create the most energy-efficient attics and crawl spaces without any extra steps or materials.” View video and images of 183M Appendix X burn test.

Gaco WallFoam 183M is an HFC-blown (zero ozone-depleting) liquid spray foam insulation containing polyols derived from naturally renewable oils, post-consumer recycled plastics and pre-consumer recycled materials with no CFC’s, HCFC’s or other gases harmful to the environment. The product is a Class I fire-rated foam and does not require an ignition barrier or intumescent coating when used in unoccupied attics and crawl spaces.

“We strive to offer our customers the most innovative products and solutions. Contractors are focused on the bottom line; this new technology will help them increase profits without sacrificing quality or safety,” said Sojak.
