Nexxus Lighting, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEXS) today announced that its Array™ Lighting R30 LED light bulbs have been installed throughout the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Array lights replace incandescent bulbs at this world-class performing arts center that opened in 1991.
“We’ve swapped incandescent bulbs for Array LED lamps in locations throughout our facility - everywhere from elevators and lobbies to the theater and stage with plans to do more,” said Michael Kidwell, Broward Center’s Maintenance Technician II. “We chose Array LED lamps because of their high light output, excellent color rendering and true energy saving ability.”
Stephen Ceseretti of Ft. Lauderdale-based SESCO, a Nexxus lighting rep, worked closely with the Broward Center team to determine the optimal LED lighting solution for the various projects.
“As a member of the Broadway Green Alliance, we are part of a growing theater community around the country that is working to identify and disseminate greener practices in our facilities,” explained Jan Goodheart, Broward Center’s Vice President of External Affairs. “Introducing energy-efficient lighting with the Array LED lamps advances us further toward this worthwhile goal.”
Nexxus Lighting’s Array™ Lighting LED light bulbs utilize a patented design and patent pending Selective Heat Sink Technology, an innovative approach to thermal management which allows an array of low power, high efficacy LED’s to achieve superior performance and a lamp life of more than 50,000 hours. Array lamps are fully dimmable on most standard incandescent dimmers and provide up to 80% energy savings compared to conventional incandescent and halogen bulbs.
