HOCHTIEF has been awarded new orders with a total value of over EUR 179 million through its subsidiaries: In the US, Turner will be performing construction work and services for two universities in California and Michigan.
In Poland, HOCHTIEF Polska will be building a warehouse with office space for Bridgestone. And in Germany, HOCHTIEF Facility Management and HOCHTIEF Energy Management will be providing services for the automotive supplier Continental.
A new concert hall, the Bing Concert Hall, will be built at Stanford University in California by 2012. The HOCHTIEF subsidiary Turner will perform services relating to the construction of the building complex. At the University of Michigan, the company is building a new basketball center. Once work on the project is completed in fall 2011, the sports facility will feature practice courts, fitness rooms and medical facilities. HOCHTIEF Polska is building a 12-meter high warehouse and office building in Poznan for the tyre manufacturer Bridgestone. The project has an area of more than 40,000 square meters and will be completed in April 2011. HOCHTIEF Energy Management will be providing Continental with energy and production media at its location in Hanover for a further five years. As a result, the company will cut the energy costs by approximately 2.6 percent each year. Just recently HOCHTIEF had also taken over production-related facility management at Continental’s plant in Nuremberg - also for five years.
