Loewenstein Wood Seating Earns GREENGUARD Certification

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification to Loewenstein wood seating products.

The wood seating was tested to the stringent GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Standards and approved as GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified(R), low emitting products. All GREENGUARD Certified furniture products qualify for U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating System for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI).

Dave Biancofiore, President of BJI's Contract Division stated "Loewenstein started incorporating a UV finishing system in 1988 which dramatically reduced the VOC levels. Since that time, we have strived to be an environmentally aware company. The receipt of the Greenguard IAQ Certification is a further testament to our commitment to the environment. We look forward to working with the design community by offering award winning products toward a 'greener' future with LEED CI."

Products certified by the GEI help significantly reduce indoor air pollution. The GEI provides a free online guide to GREENGUARD Certified Products to help the designers, building and facility professionals, and consumers find third party evaluated, low emitting products.

GREENGUARD also provides online, printable certificates for each and every GREENGUARD Certified Product to verify product certification status and simplify project submissions.
