Celcon manufactures a wide range of quality aircrete products, available in a variety of grades and dimensions, and all conforming to BS 6073. This is the excellence of Celcon aircrete.
Celcon Flooring System
The Celcon Flooring System is produced using the latest aircrete manufacturing technology, and offers all the benefits of a suspended floor with all the attributes of aircrete.
These unstressed, reinforced elements are cut to length at our factory. Incorporating Floor Edge Units, they provide a robust and very flat floor which is quickly installed on site.
Because the Celcon Flooring System is manufactured from aircrete, excellent thermal performance is obtained, often meeting Building Regulation compliance without the need for additional insulation. Foundation blocks will further enhance this benefit.
Once grouted, the Celcon Flooring System forms a secure, level platform that may be loaded out and built from immediately. A variety of finishes can be applied, including traditional and 5-10mm self levelling screed.
The Celcon Flooring System is approved by the BBA and recognised by the NHB.

Notes: Celcon Flooring Systems are designed in accordance with the latest draft European Standard (pr EN12602). Where necessary, properties of materials and components have been determined in accordance with relevant European Standards.
The thermal performance of the completed floor depends on the floor construction and the ratio of the floor’s exposed perimeter length (P) to area (A). Using the Celcon Flooring System offers a simple solution to meet both structural and thermal requirements and can achieve U-values of 0.25W/m2K or better without additional insulation:
• For a P/A of 0.6 (typical of a detached house). This floor with aircrete foundations and without any other floor insulation will achieve a U-value of 0.25W/m2K.
• For a P/A of 0.45 (typical of a semi-detached house). This floor without edge or any other insulation will achieve a U-value of 0.25W/m2K.
Celcon Flooring Systems will accommodate both traditional screeds and self-levelling screeds. Other types of finishes can also be used.
Total long-term deflection is limited to span/250. This should normally ensure deflection occurring after construction of finishes and partitions will be limited to span/350.
As with other pre-cast flooring, Celcon Flooring Systems require an under floor ventilation space of not less than 250mm.

Dealing with Services
General The Flooring Elements have a zone below the top surface into which services may be chased or cut. The elements can accommodate local cut-outs of approximately 150mm. These can also be accommodated within the Floor Edge Units.
