London's award winning restaurant, ZUMA, has selected South Florida-based RCC Associates General Contractors to build its first U.S. location at EPIC Residences & Hotel in Miami, Florida.
With ZUMA, known for its internationally acclaimed style of modern Japanese cuisine, RCC continues to build upon its reputation as one of the nation's most-sought-after high-end restaurant contractors.
The brainchild of German chef Rainer Becker, the 9,245-square-foot 291-seat (including terrace) ZUMA will be located on the lobby level of EPIC overlooking the Miami River complete with an outdoor dining area. In its unique location, ZUMA will be one of the only restaurants in the Biscayne Bay area accessible by boat.
ZUMA Miami will emulate the original London restaurant, with its lounge bar, sushi counter with dedicated master sushi chefs and the Robata Grill, inspired by the age-old cooking style of northern Japanese fishermen. ZUMA's other current locations include London, Hong Kong, Istanbul and Dubai.
ZUMA Miami is planned for a 20-week construction schedule, with completion anticipated in April 2010. Architect for the restaurant is Charles H. Benson and Associates.
Some of RCC's more prominent restaurant assignments include 50 locations for The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Cafe, Bravo, Manny's Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Maggiano's, Martini Park, Emeril's on Miami Beach, Benihana, Brimstone Woodfire Grill, The Clubhouse, Fogo de Chao, Kona Grill, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Stir Crazy, Starbucks, Cafe L'Europe, Uncle Julio's, Morton's, ZED 451 and Carpaccio's.
